If you are about to be a first time parent then try to spend as much time alone with your spouse as possible because once your bundle of joy arrives your date nights will be few and far between for a while.

One thing you can do is take a small, relaxing getaway together.

Choose a destination that will make you the most comfortable while pregnant. Do not pick a location that has temperatures of 100 degrees or more every day.
Make sure it is a relaxing trip. The last thing you want to experience on a getaway with your spouse is added stress and frustration.
When you book a flight or room make sure you know the cancellation policies in the event that something happens to you or your baby before you are to leave town.
Make sure that your spouse knows everything going on with you during your pregnancy and in your medical history in case something happens on your trip and you need to seek medical attention.
Make sure you pack lots of snacks and fluid for your trip whether it is by car or plane so you dont get queasy or get a headache. You and your baby need constant energy, food and fluids.
Nowadays you need to ensure that the water is safe to drink at the location of vacation. Do not even brush your teeth with it until you know for sure. Pack or purchase bottles of water.
Make sure you know exactly what you are eating while on vacation so you can ensure that the foods are not dangerous to you or your baby.
Make sure to take frequent bathroom breaks whether you are traveling by plane or automobile. You might also want to make frequent stops at rest areas to walk around and stretch so your muscles do not get aggravated more than they already are.

These simple steps should help you travel with ease, safety and enjoyment with spouse before the birth of your bundle of joy.
